Paul and the team recently attended a new exhibition in the Fairlocks calendar and one which is only relevant for the Nemo underwater cordless drill. Seawork International is a marine, shipping and workboat exhibition hosted annually at Southampton docks. Although a new experience for Fairlocks to have a stand at the exhibition, being placed in the diving and underwater section certainly paid off. Located near one the exits near the large tank where divers were demonstrating different products across the show, the Nemo underwater drill had its fair share of fans, and was showcased many times in the dive display.
Award winning innovation
Not only was the product widely received in the market, the show recognised the innovative technology involved in the underwater drill and awarded it a winner in the Seawork International Innovation Awards. Paul collected the award on behalf of the team at Fairlocks, and was proud of what the award brought to the status of the Nemo drill in the industry.
“This show has been a great opportunity to showcase our underwater drill in a new industry and although swimming pools is our main business, the marine engineering trade can benefit from the innovative technology used in the Nemo. We have sold many drills at the show, based on the additional gravitas the award has brought us.”
